1965 International Scout 1100
Why This Car Is Special
1965 International Scout 1100s, like the great looking restored one
we have here at Skyway Classics, are getting harder and harder to
find in any condition, let alone the super shape this one is.
The International Harvester 1100 was a truck produced by
International Harvester from 1961 to 1968. 80. It was created as a
competitor to other brands of trucks and was produced in Fort
Wayne, Indiana.
This surviving working man's restored truck takes you back to the
times the International Harvest Company was making hard working
vehicles.
Mechanical
The engine in ours is an International 304cid small block V8 that
runs strong and looks all factory stock from orange painted block,
valve covers, and intake, as it has the factory correct black
painted air cleaner, power brakes, factory looking wiring and
hoses, and all other factory items with it sitting in what appears
to be the as factory original engine compartment.
Everything looks great from top to bottom including the clean and
painted frame, the manual transmission, springs, shocks, and all
other suspension parts.
Interior
The beautiful interior has been reupholstered in grey on the
straight bench seat, grey floor mats and carpet, center manual
transmission shifter, push-button radio, factory black steering
wheel, and the great dash with factory gauges.
Exterior
The pale aqua paint looks great on the International contrasted by
the white bumpers front and rear. too. It has BF Goodrich All
Terrain radial black sidewall tires rolling on white painted
factory steel wheels to give it that period correct look.
It has a great sound with single exhaust system, the glass is
great, a spare tire underneath, painted bed, and it even has a
towing system on it too.
Conclusion
The 1965 International Scout 1100s we have here at Skyway Classics,
looks great in its aqua hue, runs and stops great and is a blast to
drive. This is a must have International truck for any IH collector
to add to his stable and you will have a lot of fun driving it
too.
