Back in 2007, Parnelli Jones partnered with Steve Saleen Performance to help create the 'Saleen/Parnelli Jones Edition Mustang'. The build was 500 cars and they sold out immediately. Saleen began with a stock Mustang GT and went from there. The aluminum SOHC 24v 302ci V8 was align bored, and fitted with forged crank, rods and pistons. Heads were ported and new valve springs/retainers were added. A performance grind cam was installed along with a 98mm airflow meter, functional 'Shaker' hood and 2.50" exhaust. The result was 400bhp and 390 lb/ft of torque. Power is managed by a 5-speed manual transmission w/short throw shifter, twin disc clutch and 8.8" Traction Lok differential with 3.73:1 gearing. The Saleen Racecraft suspension system includes ABS 4-wheel power disc brakes with Saleen slotted/vented 14.0" front discs/4 piston calipers and 11.8" rear discs, N2 coil-over struts, HD front/rear stabilizer bars, solid rear axle w/3-link suspension and "Watts link' panhard bar. This all-original 2007 Saleen/Parnelli Jones Mustang has been very carefully maintained and shows just over 6,000 miles on the clock. The Grabber Orange exterior is in virtually showroom condition and accented by 302 stripes, fog lights, front air dam, rear spoiler and Saleen designed aluminum 'Shaker' hood. Saleen 'MiniLite inspired' alloy rims - 19x9"f and 19x10" - rear mount Pirelli PZero Rossas radials. The black/orange leather interior is also in excellent condition with a host of safety and convenience features including dual stage front/side airbags, A/C, power seats, 200-mph speedometer, power tinted windows, tilt wheel, power locks, cruise, anti-theft alarm, keyless entry and premium Mach 500 AM/FM/CD changer sound system.
