Vehicle Description
This 1984 Nissan 300ZX 50th Anniversary Edition is a rare sports
car that has been kept as a truly special machine. It is a loaded
T-top coupe that has been treated to long-term care. And everything
from the desirable turbo motor to the retro-cool A/C interior has
that kind of well-kept style that makes this a survivor you'll want
to showcase.
This was the first year for the now-legendary Z31 generation of the
Z-car. And while that usually didn't mean any special edition cars,
this anniversary was too special to miss. So when it comes to
collectability, you have a first-year, limited edition model. This
one has been kept in collector condition. The unique paint theme
has a pewter upper section, black lower section, and golden
pinstriping to separate the two. This is believed to be the
original factory application, and while it has signs of enjoyment,
it's far less than you'd expect on a car that is rapidly
approaching its 40th birthday. And part of this preservation is
because the low odometer is believed to reflect the full actual
mileage. There are plenty more unique touches, including
commemorative badging, unique wider front fenders, a rocker body
kit, rear fender flares, and turbine-style alloy wheels with gold
accents. What was particularly interesting is that 1984 was the
first year Nissan was the true brand name for the USA (and so they
gave it the dual Nissan/Datsun badge.) And so that makes for quite
a unique story where this celebrates both the first full-blooded
Nissan in the USA as well as the 50th anniversary of the Nissan
name. That makes for a good story to tell your friends. And this
one has even more to talk about. It's believed to be a highly
original survivor because it remained under the care of its first
owner for 35 years. And the second owner did the right big
maintenance like the muffler and clutch. So you've got a
well-respected coupe that also is ready to be show off
everywhere.
This was a top-tier car to the already expensive 300ZX Turbo, and
so the interior is loaded with all the best features. It starts
with a pair of well-preserved leather bucket seats that have the
special 50th anniversary logo stitched in the back. You also have
power windows, power mirrors, power steering, cruise control, and a
premium AM/FM/cassette stereo w/equalizer. There's even an
exclusive Bodysonic Amplifier that puts a bass rumble directly in
the seats. And when it comes time to take out the T-tops, this even
still has the correct storage bags. Plus, thanks to automatic A/C
climate control, it's even easy to cruise with the roof out even on
a hot summer's day. This Z-car speaks to your enthusiast's heart
with a bucket seat that power adjusts to your ideal driving
position. Plus, that digital dash is pure 1980s cool.
Under the hood is what keeps this car a legend. It's the
fuel-injected turbocharged 3.0-liter V6. It has a terrific
preserved presentation, just like the rest of the car, and that's
good because you'll be showing it off to plenty of people. After
all, this was the motor that put plenty of European sports machines
to shame. Oh yes, it's that quick! Since this was under long-term
care, it's also believed that this is the original powerhouse, and
it has also been given the right maintenance items. So this
desirable motor remains a strong powerhouse. On the road, the Turbo
Z utilizes its fully independent adjustable sports suspension,
five-speed manual transmission, and four-wheel disc brakes to give
you a fantastic drive with precision-like confidence.
This coupe is so complete, it even comes with the 50th anniversary
car cover. It's the significant Turbo Z that has been treated with
the right respect and care. So if you love distinct Japanese
classics, you can't let this one slip away. Call today!!!
