The GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1972 Plymouth Duster for your consideration. This is not your average muscle car and has had extensive modifications done to make this car a true sleeper at the drag strip. This vehicle has been tubbed to accommodate the Hoosier racing slicks. One of the last Duster 340's produced in 1972, this original "H" code Duster was customer ordered and delivered in California. It has the rare 999 paint code option which means that Chrysler would paint your car ANY color that you chose. This particular Duster was ordered in a C-Body beige and strip delete. This Duster was lovingly "restified" in 1996.

Powered by a 1968, 340 block, bored .060 over with an 11.8:1 compression ratio, a Mopar Drag Pro Comp solid-lifter camshaft, a Holley 4150 HP Pro-series Racing Carburetor, Edelbrock "Victor 340" single plane Hi-rise aluminum manifold, "J" head work/modification done by Koffel, TTI ceramic coated headers, full custom 2 1/2 exhaust with electric cut outs by Motofab, MSD Digital 6 plus ignition, March precision under-driven performance aluminum pulleys, fluidampr SFI spec 18.1 racing vibration damper, molar electronic distributor with mechanical tach drive, and an aluminum radiator to finish off this extensively modified engine. The transmission in this Duster is a modified 727 Torqueflight with Cheetah reverse-manual body by Jakes Automotive equipped with line lock. The rear end is a Mopar 8 3/4 carrier type with a 4.57:1 final gear ratio and a Detroit Locker traction unit. The 4-link suspension and Mopar "super stock" springs will give you the traction you need to put the power down.
