Vehicle Description
This 1965 Ford Mustang is a restomod with fuel-injected V8 power,
an A/C interior, four-wheel disc brakes, and an overdrive
transmission. It's all wrapped around an attractive red-on-red
appearance to make sure all this substance is wrapped in an
attractive vintage style.
This coupe's exterior doesn't stray too far from stock, but there's
extra performance attitude from the addition of wide dual exhaust
tips, 5.0 fender badges, and 15-inch polished alloys. The rest is
pure vintage stock Mustang. The trim tag says this was born Rangoon
Red, and you can tell it has benefited from a more recent respray.
This whole car was restored/upgraded by a long-term owner. The
result is a car that looks pretty darn nice out on the road
today.
A red interior keeps the distinct and aggressive style going. The
upholstery, carpeting, door panels, and dash have a fresh look and
feel. It's an impressively detailed setup, right down to the
working dome lights. Plus, they nicely integrated the Fox body
style center console that adds comfort with the wide armrest and
makes a nice nod to the upgraded nature of this Mustang. It has
more comfort upgrades like the AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette and
cold-blowing air conditioning. But you also get the right classic
feel from fundamentals like the stock gauges and thin/grippy
steering wheel.
The engine bay has the unmistakable look of a 5.0-liter V8 borrowed
from the foxbody generation Mustang GT. It's great to have this
upgrade to fuel injection and a larger displacement than what was
available in 1965. Plus, this one was upgraded further with a Trick
Flow upper intake and shorty headers feeding the glasspack style
dual exhaust. Not only do you have a more powerful package, but the
FI motor has a more everyday-friendly nature. For example, the
four-speed automatic transmission was specifically built to handle
the power and deliver overdrive comfort. Plus, you have four-wheel
power disc brakes and wide BF Goodrich T/As.
This is the kind of Mustang that will be great to show off
