Almost 22 Million Beetles were produced from 1938 through 2003
making it the highest and single design production automobile of
all time.....By a long way! Officially known as the Type 1, many
people know the history and the relationship between Volkswagen and
Adolf Hitler who wanted a car for the people...Something simple to
operate but would withstand all climates. I would say the Beetle
might be one of the most iconic and important cars of all time. You
can not go anywhere with out being noticed in a Beetle. They are
popular with young and old and with and different type of people
all across the socio-economic spectrum. This particular driver
quality Robins Egg Blue beauty has been lovingly owned and cared
for the last thirteen years by a woman that adored this car. It has
always been well maintained mechanically by her and her husband.
The car is not a show car but was driven and used. The paint has
patina and the underside although has some surface rust as you
could expect is not rotted or rusted through in any way. The floor
pans appear to be original, the engine and trans also appear to be
original to the car. The Beetle has been repainted at some point
but the color is correct. The interior also appears to be original
to the car. The tires are good as are the brakes and it has just
had a new coil, condenser and points done. The car starts, runs and
goes down the road as it should.
