Vehicle Description
The 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air hardtop is at the top of many lists for
the coolest American cruiser. So when you're looking for a true
head-turner that also gets your heart pumping, this is the one you
want. With shining paint, upgraded V8 power, and an A/C interior,
this is an icon restored to be the total package.
This coupe grabs all the right attention. The two-tone yellow and
white is a distinctive color combination that has a vibrant style.
This later application gives a deep gloss and a clearcoat shine.
And the investment in this one went far more than just paint. The
Bel Air was the range-topper with plenty of chrome and stainless
trim. So you want an example that is as clean, complete, and
shining as this one. That way you can proudly show off the
wraparound bumpers, jet-like hood ornament, wide grille, and the
intricate side trim that provides a clear dividing line for the
two-tone. While that gives this the right classic style, there's
something more here. Those 18-inch Boss Motorsports wheels fill the
wheel wells with some added sporty style that this one earns under
the hood.
The yellow and white theme continues inside. This is a great mix of
vintage and new, and the front seats show it off the best. You have
the upgrade of individual buckets, but they are still done in a
classic style with contrast piping and a tuck & roll insert. And
the rear seats and side panels are even done to match. It's a
thoughtful presentation that people love to see at the car shows.
So this is a great one for rolling down all the windows of this
pillarless hardtop to let people get a better look inside. It's
built to be a more comfortable cruiser with well-placed upgrades
like AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux input, cup holders, and cold-blowing
R134a air conditioning. It's also upgraded to be a better driver
with thoughtfully placed pieces, like the armrest center console
and a wood-rimmed sports steering wheel on a tilt column.
The engine bay likes to impress, too. Smooth inner walls, bright
components, and an overall tidy setup make it ready to show off. We
love the '55 Chevy for launching the small block V8 era, and this
one celebrates its powerful nature with an upgrade to a 327
cubic-inch small block. It has performance pieces like an Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetor and headers feeding into a rather straight
set of exhaust pipes (and don't forget to notice the full clean
undercarriage.) The full package was done with the right supporting
components, including an electric choke and an aluminum radiator.
It makes for a great cruiser, especially with more upgrades like
the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power
brakes, front discs, and wide modern sport tires.
Here's the iconic classic hardtop that checks all your boxes for
power, comfort, and style. That's why this one is so irresistible.
