LS3 Camaro Pro-Touring Restomod! While the outside of this 1968
Camaro looks like it just rolled off the dealership floor, under
the hood is directly from the GM manufacturing plant! An 6.2L LS3
376 GM Crate Motor has been implanted on top of the Scotts' Hot Rod
Independent Front Suspension Subframe. It's securely held in and
mated with the 4L65E heavy-duty GM Crate Transmission with
Overdrive. All that power is transferred down to the ground through
a massive 12-bolt rear end with positraction. A factory style
interior with modern touches from the Leather and Suede TMI Sport-R
Seating, Vintage Air Conditioning and Heating, a sound system, a
full Pro-Touring suspension and much more. If you're looking to
retain the iconic classic car look but with the modern day high-end
performance - look no further than this 1968 Chevy Camaro!
Underneath the factory-style hood lies the 430 HP GM 6.2L V8 LS3
Crate Engine. Dressed up with our chrome Chevrolet script emblems
and paired with gloss black valve covers. This engine bay is ready
for a car show! If you look closely you will notice that the engine
has been pushed into the firewall about 4" to help with weight
distribution. Definitely something you will rarely see due to the
time and complex geometry and math to make this possible! Full
painted inner and out wheel well tubs and the paint matched flush
firewall really gives you a glimpse of the Scotts Hod Rod Front
Subframe with an independent front suspension and all of the custom
chrome components. It's as if this 6.2L LS3 was put on a grandiose
pedestal! And keeping this motor nice and cool is an aluminum
radiator that has been outfitted with dual electric fans. And of
course, having such a reliable and modern engine means you get the
pleasure of having modern-day amenities such as power rack and
pinion steering, air conditioning, and even heat! The Billet
Vintage air front runner kit that was installed on this LS3 allows
much of this to be possible. Overall a show and go engine bay
anyone would be proud to open and show the world.
As we step inside, you will find TMI Sport-R seating with leather
and suede not only on the front but matching on the rear as well.
Securing all the passengers are the full lap belts all the way
around. The gauge cluster and center console also match from
Digital Dakota and are the VHX Gauges, giving you a more modern and
easier-to-see instrument cluster. The power windows and power
steering make you forget this car is over 54 years old! It even has
a factory-style aftermarket radio that blends into the dash,
letting you listen to your favorite stations while cruising around
through the rear deck speakers. And to really get you in touch with
your inner driver, a brand new suede Grant steering wheel has been
added to give you a no-slip-grip on this LS3 powered Camaro baby!
And for those really hot summer days, simply turn on the ice-cold
Vintage Air Conditioning knowing you have all the modern amenities
of such a modern-day motor!
On the Gloss Red Exterior, directly in front of you is the brand
newly installed Detroit Speed Electronic headlight kit, and hidden
behind those headlight doors are the Restomodit High Performance
LED headlight package available from No Reserve Classics Directly!
They really light up the road ahead. And when you're not cruising
down the road, you can get a glimpse of the flush mounted front
bumper, wheel well trims, handles, lens covers, and the rest of the
chrome components were professionally powercoated in a wonderful
satin black, giving this Camaro a one-of-a-kind sinister look you
won't get anywhere else. And the aggressive stance are all due to
the brand new 18" Coys staggered wheels with the massive 285mm rear
wide tire! And you look close enough you'll see the notched front
subframe and rear minitub which lets us push the limits for the
widest possible tire!
That beautiful glossy red paint looks great on the body of this
classic Camaro, so much so that even the underbody is painted the
same glossy red paint. It showcases the full suspension in its
glory. A Scotts Hot Rods Front Subframe holds a Front Coilover
system from Alden, tubular upper, and lower control arms, and power
rack pinion steering. Moving towards the rear, the Hotchkis frame
connectors rear gives this unibody the stiffening it really needs
and definitely makes this ride stand out. Really letting you take
corners very tightly and smoothly. The combination of the RideTech
4 Link Air-Bar System and the Scott's Hot Rod Independent Front
Suspension really gives you a confidence boost that you've never
felt before, almost as if this car is on rails! Overall a car that
not only looks like a showpiece on a lift, but performs even
better! The true definition of Pro-Touring right here!
Also included in the sale of this Camaro is a Full 2" Binder Full
of hundreds of receipts from the Crate Motor to the Transmission to
even the Wiper motors!
