A well-priced 1969 Pontiac Firebird with a 400ci V8 under the hood
is already quite attractive. But what makes this one irresistible
is that there has been a solid investment inside and out for a
custom and quality total presentation.
The Burnt Orange paint is a nice upgrade that gives this car a
custom look without taking away from its driver-ready style. And
the metallic element looks great as it radiates in the sunshine.
This sets off a full package of thoughtfully placed custom details.
For example, the hood scoops have dark openings to stand out better
as well as coordinate with the vent trim on the fenders. And we
especially like the custom pinstriping that draws added attention
to the sharply pointed hood and the iconic Coke-bottle curves of
the profile. The same color theme is used on the rear spoiler to
properly announce that you have a '69 Firebird. And white the
chrome bumpers shine brightly, our favorite polish is on the set of
17-inch Foose wheels.
The interior continues the theme of thoughtful upgrades by being
inspired by some of the best Pontiac elements around. This starts
with the seats. The attractive parchment now has cloth inserts that
remind us of the hobnail pattern made famous by the next-gen
Firebird. And the orange they used looks like they mixed the
copper-like exterior with the tan interior to make a very
harmonious look inside and out. There are more great classic
features like the Pontiac horizon tach mounted to the steering
column, GM's iconic horseshoe shifter, and the steering wheel is
borrowed from the later Trans Am. Plus, everything from the
auxiliary gauge trio to the AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux input is there to
let you know this is a real driver's coupe.
Under the hood is the distinct blue block of Pontiac's V8. This is
the desirable 400 cubic-inch unit topped with a four-barrel
carburetor. And everything from the classic air grabber to the
polished valve covers gives it a nice sense of style. You can also
spot good driving upgrades, like the electronic ignition and large
aluminum radiator. It's a strong heart that is part of a confident
all-around driving package that includes a three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and grippy
sport tires afforded by the wheel upgrade.
You're looking at a first-generation Firebird that has been
upgraded for distinction and comfort. That makes for a terrific
all-around driver's classic. Call today!!!
