1941 Cadillac Series 61 in Youngville, North Carolina
This beauty was bought new in Washington, DC at Capital Cadillac.
Model 41-6127 and most recently residing in sunny southern
California, now here in Carolina. It is showing 63K miles and that
is believed to be actual but selling EXEMPT because of age. It is
equipped with the original 150hp 346ci V8 engine with manual
transmission and 3:77 rear end. The exterior is finished in Pretty
Tuxedo Black with Vincennes Red wheels and new Diamond Back wide
whitewall radial tires. Additional equipment and options include
the original AM radio that works, an electric fuel pump plus 2
parallel Optima batteries for easy starting and added seat belts in
the front for safety. It also sports fender skirts with the famous
Cadillac emblem. Recent mechanicals include new brake shoes and
wheel cylinders as well as replacing the motor and transmission
mounts. It was recently upgraded to Electronic Pertronix ignition.
An original shop manual, a repro driving manual, and a copy of the
original sales invoice are included with purchase. This big Caddy
handles interstate speeds easily and with Cadillac grace.
Historically, the 61-Series 1941 Cadillac weighs in at a whopping
4,000 LBS and the 150HP V8 reportedly pushed it down the road at a
top speed of 100MPH! According to internet reports, of the some
66,000 Caddy's produced in '41, the 62 series accounted for
24,734.
