Vehicle Description
This 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 W-30 has received a frame off
restoration completed by Klassic Rides of NC. The suspension and
all elements of the interior including wiring and electronics were
restored/replaced with a focus on maintaining the original look and
feel including the rare Hurst Dual Gate shifter. The 455 cu. in
engine with outside air induction hood, runs smooth and strong and
has been driven less than 2,000 miles since a rebuild by the
longtime auto mechanic owner. The engine bay is painted and
arranged as original except for the starter motor bracket which was
modified to hold the starter away from engine heat. Particular
attention was paid to the suspension to provide a firm and stable
platform while cornering under power. Klassic Rides finished the
restoration with a beautiful gold & black paint that matches the
original factory production (per the data plate). Independent
research has confirmed that this is an original 1970 W-30 however
the front fenders and grill are from 1971. Engine block casting and
aluminum intake castings are as shown on the Data Plate. The
original trunk springs, trunk spoiler, rear sway bar, and lower
boxed control arms are in place and conform to the unique W-30
(only) specifications. This Cutlass has been beautifully restored
and gives a clean powerful driving experience.
