Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Beautiful classic first-generation Riviera! GS wheels!
401 cubic inch 'Wildcat 445' V8 engine! Perfect cruiser!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this Riviera is stunningly straight!
This car is an older restoration, so there are some minor
imperfections to be found, but it is truly in prime cruiser
condition if you're wanting something to actually drive and
enjoy.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Similar to the body condition, the paint
is a few years old and does show some normal since of use such as
touch-ups and minor chips. We would describe the paint as close to
a "driver condition" and still looks great. Even more, it is
finished in its factory-correct Arctic White. Combined with the tan
interior and this Riviera is a stunner!
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: Step inside the Riviera, and suddenly
it feels as if it is 1963. Every original piece appears to be in
place, either with good condition original parts or nice
replacement parts. The seats look to have been recovered in the
past, and the carpet appears to have been replaced as well. The
steering wheel is showing normal cracking, as it appears to be an
original Buick part. The dash pad has been recovered to match the
interior color, and looks good! As a whole, the interior has been
kept in Saddle color, as original according to the body tag.
Modifications in the interior are kept to an extreme minimum, with
the only notable change being a vintage-look modern radio and
speakers installed in the package tray. All those classic space age
Buick knobs and gauges are still in place, and you can't help but
feel the personal luxury while seated inside this car.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Lift the hood and you'll be greeted by a 401
Buick 'Nailhead' V8, dubbed the Wildcat 445 for its factory torque
rating. The engine runs great, and is just as smooth as Buick
should be. This car has plenty of power, and drives like a dream.
The transmission shifts smoothly, and the aftermarket front disc
brakes stop this beast with ease. Even the air conditioning works
properly!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: These Rivieras have aged
incredibly well. A fusion of early '60s styling and what became
late '60s muscle car attributes, you can't help but love these
cars!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: As nice as it is, if you're
looking for an expertly restored, blue-ribbon trailer queen, this
is not it.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? This car is ready to go!
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? If you're looking for a unique,
classic personal luxury car, you've found it!
