STK 3052 1939 Packard Convertible
This handsome 1939 Packard 'Super 8' street rod has been in the
possession current owner for over 20 years. Anyone who has ever
built a premier street rod will appreciate everything that has gone
into this Packard 'Super 8'. Look at the photos - the attention to
detail is unbelievable. From the outstanding paint, to the stunning
interior, to the powerful drivetrain, this roadster is beautiful.
The body was fully restored and professionally resprayed in 'Chrome
Yellow' (2015). Accents include the stunning 'Flying Goddess' hood
ornament, virtually flawless chrome and LED headlight units - it is
a work of art. Custom Centerline polished alloys w/BFGoodrich
radials complete the chassis configuration. The tan leather
interior is beautiful and comfortable. Power front bucket seats are
backed by a 'full' rear bench seat. The custom 'walnut' dash holds
a complete set of AutoMeter Classic gauges and a custom wheel rests
on a tilt steering column assembly. Creature comforts include cold
A/C, tinted windows, and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD sound system. The
manual convertible top is in very good condition as is the matching
top boot cover. Under the hood is a GM 454ci crate motor that is
fueled by a throttle body fuel injection unit and cooled by an
electric fan. It is mated to a 700-R4 automatic that delivers
torque to a differential with 3.50:1 street gearing. This timeless
street rod rests on a clean chassis fitted with custom Fatman
Fabrications front end. Steering is power assisted and brakes are
power front disc/rear drum with dual master. The suspension sports
front coil springs and rear leaf springs. Any one of us would be
