Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
for your consideration. This super cool classic Jeep was produced
by Jeep after Chrysler acquired the AMC brand in 1987 and was
optioned with the largest engine available, the 5.9L V8. Paired
with the motor is a smooth-shifting automatic transmission that
sends power to either two wheels or all four through the transfer
case. Beginning in 1986 the Wagoneer was given a Selec-Trac
transfer case and also featured a limited-slip differential to send
power to the appropriate wheels in slippery conditions. This
example was professionally restored in 2019.
The exterior is finished in a very classic white color which is
complemented by the Grand Wagoneer's famous wood paneling.
Externally this vehicle features all of the chrome, trim, and
everything else that makes it so cool. Also, bumper-mounted fog
lights have been added to the Jeep and not only adds extra lighting
but contributes to the Wagoneer's ultra-sweet appearance.
Inside the vehicle is a tan leather interior that is in good
condition with all color matching carpet, wood trim on the
dashboard, an aftermarket NRG steering wheel, and an aftermarket
Kenwood radio. This truck features power steering, power brakes,
and air conditioning, along with power windows and locks. The rear
window is power operated by either the key located on the back of
the vehicle or a switch on the dashboard.
Within the last 4 months the owner has spent time and several
thousand dollars updating and replacing things including new Hanook
tires, new battery cables, wiring to main power block replaced, new
power window switches, new plugs/wires/cap/air filter, fresh oil
change, new front door seals.
Introduced in 1962, the Jeep Wagoneer is widely credited for being
a pioneer of the luxury SUV formula. While sharing traditional
ladder frame pickup truck chassis, the Wagoneer had a sophisticated
station wagon body design that was more carlike than any other 4x4
on the market. With lots of luxury and advanced features such as
independent front suspension, power steering, air conditioning, and
available automatic transmissions, the Wagoneer stood out from
other manufacturers' offerings. In 1984, the Grand Wagoneer was
introduced as a top-of-the-line luxury model and was a strong
seller despite its age. The truck continued in production all the
way to 1991. This is an awesome vehicle that is capable, looks
awesome, and is ready to hit the road. Please call or email with
