Vehicle Description
This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS tribute convertible has everything
you want. That means an awesomely distinct color combo and an A/C
interior. And the powerful big block under the hood is supported by
upgrades like a five-speed, performance suspension, and four-wheel
disc brakes.
Black Cherry is a terrific modern hue for this Camaro. It comes
close enough to 1968's Cordovan paint to look period-correct,
except this has more hints of vibrant red and a terrific metallic
luster. The paint sets the tone right for a car that's upgraded,
stylish, and not afraid to be driven. The dark tones also give it a
look of a true mean machine that also goes well with all the
blackout features. It starts with an RS front end with working
hideaway headlights. The darkness is further continued by SS
features like the chin spoiler, rear panel, mag-style wheels, and
painted D90 stripe package. Even the convertible top goes with this
dark style to give this Camaro an almost two-tone appearance. Good
body lines, bright chrome bumpers, and speedy details like the rear
spoiler and hood vent trim all make for a quality total
package.
Because the black accents on the outside look terrific against the
dark cherry hues, you'll also be happy to see this convertible has
a full black interior waiting for you inside. In fact, there's also
a well-fitting convertible boot so that this looks good when you
share it all with the world. And this one retains a cool/classic
appearance right down to details, like the wood-like trim on the
console and insignia trim on the seats that show off the deluxe
interior. This has the right features you want, like a classic
AM/FM radio, upgraded speakers, and cold-blowing air conditioning.
So this is perfect for top-down driving around with your favorite
music - even in the summertime! When you slip behind the Chevy
three-spoke steering wheel (w/power steering,) you'll see a crisp
set of large speedo and the ultra-desirable tic-toc-tach. The
center console on your right nicely frames the iconic quad
auxiliary gauge package and a Hurst shifter (and don't forget to
count the gears.)
The engine bay has the kind of presentation that will make you
proud to lift the hood at car shows. It's exceptionally well
presented where the color-matched inner walls also include
thoughtful touches like the hinges and brake booster. And this
funnels your attention to all the polished components of this big
block heart. You've got a mighty 454 cubic-inch V8 that has been
enhanced with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake
manifold, a Be Cool aluminum radiator w/electric fans, and long
tube headers feeding an X-pipe dual exhaust. This is an awesome
powerhouse, and the upgrade to a five-speed manual transmission and
12-bolt rear end mean you get to take better control over it all.
And as you look at the undercarriage photos, you can see control is
a central theme of this build. That's why you have upgrades like
tubular upper control arms up front, a rear sway bar, and Hotchkis
frame connectors. Plus, the upgrade to four-wheel power disc brakes
gives you superior stopping confidence.
This Camaro looks great, sounds great, and feels great...it's a
powerful icon with a combination of features that doesn't come
around very often. Don't miss out, call today!
