Vehicle Description
This 1965 Volkswagen Beetle is a cool two-tone classic that has
been given the right upgrades to be a great custom cruiser without
losing any of that vintage style you love.
This one has something to offer from every angle. It all starts
with the paint package. The two-tone seems inspired by classic VW
colors like Iceland Green and Nile Beige, but it's really a modern
application done within the last decade. In fact, there has been a
solid investment in the whole car in 2012, and it remains looking
impressive today. You have the desirable earlier Bug items like the
fender vents, covered headlights, a correct mid-1960s decklid, and
two-tone wheels with classic smooth and shining VW hubcaps. Plus,
there's some added attitude from the lowered suspension, tinted
glass, large dual exhaust tips, and cleanly deleted bumpers (that
also makes it easy if you want to do a nerf bar upgrade.)
The classic creamy beige color continues inside, and now it's
joined by a tasteful brown. There is a thoughtful sense of style
where you see clean paint on the simple seat frames, smooth door
panels with quality handles, and good carpeting throughout. So it
really has the right classic feeling. You'll appreciate the quality
details everywhere from the pliable weather-stripping to the
separate VDO fuel gauges that came on these earlier VWs. And we
especially like how the classic AM radio is still on display, but
your real driving music is coming from the AM/FM/CD stereo in the
glovebox. Even the trunk looks good with a clean style and a fully
detailed spare.
The everlasting appeal of the Beetle comes from the hardy
air-cooled flat-four motor in the back. The 1300cc unit was rebuilt
as part of the 2012 restoration. So it has a clean style that also
upholds the solid running tradition. The four-speed manual
transmission was also rebuilt at the time and was outfitted with
highway-friendly gears. And because you're really going to want to
drive this classic, they even upgraded it with front disc
brakes.
This two-tone VW was restored to give you a head-turning classic
that's easier to show off near or far. So if you've been looking
for a cruiser-ready Beetle, call today!
