Vehicle Description
Sleek, mean, bold, and distinct...this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396
tribute arguably has the best of everything. So no matter if you
love the look of the hidden headlight front end, or love the way
the four-speed gives you total control of the big block, this
restored classic gives you an award-worthy way to enjoy it all.
Daytona Yellow is an awesome color. The name just gets you thinking
about Florida racetracks and Smokey Yunick. Of course, that kind of
powerful imagery is also because you know you're looking at a mean
machine. That yellow loves to showcase the dark features of the SS
upgrades like the deep chin spoiler, Mag-style wheels, and hockey
stick stripe. And of course, the RS hidden headlight has a terrific
dark style while putting an iconic face forward. But really, this
coupe belongs at the car show more than the paddock. The '69 Camaro
was the only first-gen car in this color, and so they made sure to
show it respect with a high-quality application during the
restoration. In fact, you can tell there was a small fortune spent
on getting the full package looking this good. The value is seen in
the way the panels line up, the doors close with authority, and the
bumpers and trim give off a mirror-like shine.
While the yellow and black look great on the outside, it's
absolutely iconic inside. After all, the best Camaros got the
houndstooth interior, and so they restored this one with an
awesomely detailed yellow and black. It's clean and complete where
there's not even a button missing from the seatbacks. The door
panels are vibrant, the carpeting is plush, the dash is smooth, and
the headliner is taut - so it's the kind of quality you'll proudly
show off. You'll even appreciate the little details, like the
working dome light, smooth wood-like trim, and a working Delco AM
radio. But a car like this was made for more than just showcasing.
It's a true driver's setup with a grippy wood-rimmed steering
wheel, a center console with gauges, and clear speedo and tach.
The fenders advertise a big block, and all that motor under the
hood proves it wasn't lying. Just like the rest of this coupe, it
was made to be seen with the bold orange block, shiny air topper,
matching valve covers, and all those correct decals. It fires up
eagerly as the V8 inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor. And
the Flowmasters on the dual exhaust give it a terrific tune. But
don't just listen to the rumble; follow its path in the
undercarriage photos. There you'll see how this one is clean over
every inch. You take full control of this Camaro with the Muncie
four-speed manual transmission. It's an all-around solid driver
with power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and wide BF
Goodrich, T/As.
This Camaro loves to turn heads with everything from its color to
its rumble. And that's a good thing because it's worthy of all the
extra attention it commands. So if you're ready for all eyes on
