Vehicle Description
A 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS like this is truly an interesting
vehicle. It is one of the sleekest and sportiest versions of a
classic personal coupe. And this one has some unique features to
make this luxury classic also a bolder coupe.
The design of the Super Sport was all about being aerodynamically
enhanced. The front end was reconfigured to cut the air, and
there's a small ducktail spoiler on the rear. While that was done
at the factory, this one was given an even larger upgrade in
attitude. The stripe kit and badging were eliminated during a
respray for an even sleek look. The silver paint now has a cool
blue metallic element embedded in it for an added dose of premium
that looks right on a Monte Carlo. We know you instantly spotted
the power dome of the added cowl hood. The upgraded wheels are a
larger 16-inch size to add both style and stance (the original
wheels are available if so desired.) It's all part of a clean and
complete look on a car where the low odometer is believed to
represent the full mileage.
The gray fabric is the perfect choice for this distinct SS. It
coordinates with the exterior paint nicely and it has a well-kept
style. You have the wide bench seat up front for classic car fans,
or you can fold down the center armrest for an individual level of
comfort. You've also got nice factory features like the Delco
AM/FM/cassette stereo, a tilt steering column, and provisions for
factory air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold
again.) The driver faces a black factory performance steering
wheel. The bold black and red here is repeated on the sporty full
gauge package and continues across the whole dash. It is worth
noting that there are already hand controls in place for this
coupe. That is optimal for some buyers, and they can be removed and
the factory lower panels are in the trunk if you want a standard
operation.
Under the hood is the correct 305 cubic-inch High Output small
block V8. It's a strong runner with plenty of old-school muscle car
torque. It even has some added flair with the polished bow tie
valve covers. Power steering, power brakes, front disc brakes, a
rear sway bar, and Pirelli tires are all part of a spirited but
comfortable driving package. And it's made to be a good all-around
cruiser, including on the highway. That's why you have a four-speed
automatic transmission w/ overdrive and cruise control.
Sleek, unique, and affordable, it is going to be hard to beat this
well-presented Monte Carlo SS. This is one of the best ways to own
and enjoy the new class of classics. Call now!
