1965 Mustang 2+2 fastback, here is very rare, so well presented, just terrific ‘A’ code early production Mustang with virtually all the GT equipment but early production well known to Fraser Dante for some 18 years, great body and underchassis, the highly detailed engine bay is just striking, a very strong 289cid engine even has the dated proper heads, an Atlanta car found at a show years ago just acquired from the previous collector, note the manufacturing date is January 1965, a very rare early 1965 pre-GT production before the April GT Ford Mustang release date, this has the front GT lights and the GT dual exhaust system, now is really a nice Rangoon Red (J) paint, white GT lower striping, factory dated 4-speed transmission, factory shifter, brand new heavy duty ‘Ram’ full clutch system being installed, just a really terrific body metal and just really great ‘as factory’ red factory oxide underchassis, Atlanta (21) DSO, note the breakdown of the door Data Tag, enclosed are the notes from the previous owner of some 17 years, has a dated, very strong 289cid engine, even the correct heads are dated produced the same day, a proper Autolite 4100-4v, the original stock valve covers are now just upgrade to the very expensive finned new Cobra valve covers…looks terrific under the hood, had now brand new dual GT aluminized exhaust system, just excellent compression with readings from 150 to 159 lbs., the stock horsepower is rated at 225, yet these readings are better than factory, the new fresh strong mechanicals being completed, this had just wonderful straight body lines, proper red bucket seated interior, factory long console, Ford red safety belts, a 1965 Rally Pac just now being installed, great stopping with the fresh built hi-performance GT front disc brakes installed, new correct rear drums, here is a top factory build and now with full updating, very hard to find such a terrific straight original body and great sheet metal, has a really just exceptional underchassis, said original floors are having a slight touch up and then clear coated to protect for top investment and show quality, then a really strong area are the mechanicals being set up by the Fraser Dante professional shop, now hard to get, brand new tires just now installed, has an 1965 Owner’s Manual, see the video of this amazing Rangoon Red 2+2 being driven at Fraser Dante, this fine performance is even before our professional shop sets this to even a much higher level see www.fraserdante.com for further information and full inventory, (770) 641-8354
