Vehicle Description
"The third-generation C/K was introduced for the 1973 model year.
Designated the "Rounded Line" generation by General Motors, the C/K
grew in size inside and out. As pickup trucks increased in use as
personal vehicles, cab features and options moved closer in line
with GM sedans...The Rounded Line generation is the
longest-produced version of the C/K model line, produced for 18
model years."
This 1983 Chevrolet K10 Silverado Short Bed Fleetside is powered by
a replacement 350ci, 8-cylinder motor that starts quick and runs
great. The automatic TH700 R4 transmission shifts through all 4
gears smoothly and delivers power to the rear wheels through the
10-bolt rear end. The floor mounted shifter can be pulled back to
easily engage four-wheel drive with automatic locking hubs.
The blue interior is in very good condition with no excessive wear.
Enjoy all the interior comforts of this Silverado such as power
steering and brakes, air conditioning and a sliding rear
window.
The exterior is an older two-tone repaint that shows very well and
still has a brilliant shine. The undercarriage is solid with only
surface rust. Areas on the frame show some flaking which is the
remnants of older applied protective finish.
This truck makes for a great weekend cruiser, classic work truck
around the property, or daily driver for those who like driving
trucks made before they felt like a luxury family car!
