GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this highly original 1953
Packard Clipper Deluxe in Polaris Blue. Other than the wide white
wall Coker radial tires, this car is as it was configured from the
factory in Detroit, Michigan. It is powered by a 160 HP Thunderbolt
327 I6 paired with a 2 speed Ultramatic (Auto) Transmission
providing rather surprising performance. The spacious interior is
comfortable and astonishingly clean for 68 years old. With the last
year or so the AM radio had new components installed to make it
functional. The following were also replaced recently : voltage
regulator, water pump, brake lines and battery. In the trunk, comes
the oil filter kit and a file box full of paperwork, manuals and
memorabilia including a picture of this car on a Packard club
magazine.
The appears to be very solid and straight. The paint is starting to
show its age with some checking here and there but for the age and
originality of the car it is to be expected. This is an excellent
collector piece!
