Vehicle Description
"The Giulietta Spider's combination of rev-happy engine, fine
handling, a responsive chassis, and good brakes made the Giulietta
a driver's car par excellence, arguably superior in driving
dynamics when compared with its primary competitor, Porsche's 356
Cabriolet and Speedster. These timelessly styled Italian beauties
continue to attract discerning enthusiasts today and are a
preferred choice for vintage rallies and events." -RM Sotheby's
This 1956 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider is a very early example of
this nimble Italian sports car. Believed to be just a three-owner
car with one of the ownership transfers being from father to
daughter this car has essentially been in the same family since
1960. Having spent time on the Portland International Raceway as
well as other local tracks by the early 2000's this car was
requiring some restoration work which was done in California. After
its arrival to Massachusetts in 2007 it spent very little time
being driven and was eventually put in storage in 2013. Fast
forward to 2021 this car was brought to Glynn Motorsports for a
mechanical refresh and full service to provide a safe driving
experience.
This Spider retains its correct motor that has been upgraded with a
Weber carburetor, it comes to a quick start and smooth idle.
This 1956 Alfa 750D Spider finished in white exterior with red
leather interior and coordinating black soft top runs well and
looks great, with over $11,000 spent on this car in recent months,
it is well on its way to being 100%.
As an early example this Alfa is eligible for a variety of classic
motoring events which only enhances it desirability.
