Ultra Rare CHEVROLET BelAir Bubble Top "Factory Delete" 454ci
Stunning Restoration!
The '61 Chevrolet Bubble Tops are by far the most sought after
early 60's Chevys. This rare "factory delete" came with NO radio or
heat making it a very collector model. The Bubble Top Bel Air
Chevys are extremely desirable only a few factory Delete models
remain. Becoming harder and harder to find these American icons
will forever be an exceptional value.
An older frame-off restoration with 4500 miles and what are
believed to be just 59400 actual miles. The engine, exterior,
interior, trunk, and undercarriage present as a show build.
The Roman Red paint has a depth and clarity that is stunning! The
paint is like glass and the body alignment is outstanding. The
nostalgic red exterior paint blends with the close to perfect red
pleated vinyl interior trim to make this classic Bubble Top
standout. The fit and finish are very nice with some minor
imperfections. All the bright work and trim is outstanding.
Under the hood is a 1971 block 454 ci, cast iron heads,
Performer-Plus cam, performer dual-plane high-rise intake manifold
with isolated intake runners, and a Edelbrock 750 cfm carburetor.
E-core ignition coil and billet aluminum distributor and a 100-amp
chrome alternator delivers accurate ignition timing. The 454 has a
heavy-duty flex fan, but what is not visible is a high performance
electric fan. Stay cool under the harshest conditions. Block huger
headers and 2.5" dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers create that
deep muscle car sound. This 454 gives a brutal low-end torque
horsepower from idle-5,500 rpm! The aggressive look and feel are
totally 60s performance!
The front disc brakes and rear drums is the perfect combination.
All the steering linkage, along with the entire suspension system
are all in like new condition. New Ridler wheels with Yokohama
Advon-Sport V105 tires 235/45 ZR 18's brings this classic to a
modern look. The 700R auto transmission has a 4th gear lock out.
While driving on the HWY or open road over 55 mph just pull down on
a dash switch and you're in cruise control. This Bubble Top has a
retro style dash gauges that are the perfect complement that
combine the black face with white numbers/dials to give the driver
a bold easy to read dash. Let's not overlook the column-mounted Sun
Super Tach that certainly qualifies as a period-correct mod.
If stock is the look, you're going for a complete set of Chevy
hubcaps on body color red steel wheels well complete the iconic
style. The extra-clean trunk contains a spare and jack.
