Unbelievable! You see all these options? It was born this way,
documented with original invoice and window sticker. A doctor
ordered it new. He wanted the big motor and 4-speed to pull his
Airstream camper. He also wanted it loaded with options so his
family could be comfortable. A serious collector a full size,
4-speed cars gave it a body off frame restoration. Only 1,911 miles
since finished. #s match, restored to factory specs.
EXTERIOR: They used a rust free California body that is absolutely
straight with no rust, no damage. The panels lineup beautifully,
doors close like a new car. The tailgate has a power window that
you open then reach in the use the lever to open the tailgate.
Repainted it's original butternut yellow color. It has a smooth,
high gloss finish. The woodgrain has been reapplied and is
excellent. I did not see any wrinkles, bubbles or issues. In front
the bumper is rechromed, the grill is very good original, it has
correct T-3 headlights. The moldings down the sides are all
straight and shiny. The moldings around the windows are straight
and shiny. It has an optional chrome luggage rack on top and is
real good original condition. It also has optional wind deflector.
In back the bumper is rechromed and it has a step plates to access
the roof rack. The jambs are painted real nice, weatherstrips were
replaced. The glass is real nice. It has 15 inch rally wheels with
correct 1967 center caps.
INTERIOR: Front to back it looks like new. It has factory gauges
and tachometer, power windows, 3rd row seating, am-fm and a
Multiplex stereo unit. Not only does it have a/c but it's a climate
control where you set the temp and it's automatic. The coolest
feature is that factory 4-speed sticking out of the hump! It has
correct reverse lockout and white ball. The seats are
reupholstered. Remember sitting in the rear facing 3rd seat? I
remember making faces at the car behind me lol. The seats fold flat
too. The headliner is new without a wrinkle. Door panels are all
mint. Behind the rear side panel is a restored rally wheel spare
and jack. The dash area is in excellent shape.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has it's Vin number matching 427- 385
horsepower power. It's been completely rebuilt and it's all stock
including the manifolds, valve covers, carburetor, air cleaner
assembly etc. It has a factory air conditioning system, also power
steering and power brakes. Detailed out with reproduction hoses and
clamps, Delco battery topper with spring clamp battery cables. All
the metal surfaces are smooth and painted nicely. The washers are
hooked up, alternator looks new, fan shroud is new etc.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: When the seats fold flat there is a custom made
carpeted mat. Under the seat storage well is clean painted metal
and has a carpet mat.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame and under this car is
completely restored like new. The front suspension is completely
rebuilt and detailed. All ball joints, bushings, springs, shocks,
steering linkage was replaced. Rear suspension was rebuilt with new
bushings, springs and shocks. It has a panhard bar. The dual
exhaust system was replaced with the factory type. Brake system was
rebuilt, it has disc in front, the e-brake assembly is hooked up.
Bottom of the motor is still spotless, starter is rebuilt. It has
the correct screw on canister oil filter. Correct Muncie 4-speed
transmission dated to this car. 12 bolt rear end has factory 3.31
posi gears. The floors are solid metal cleaned up and painted a
satin black finish.
This is a rare opportunity to buy a one of a kind that is
documented to have been born like you see it. Station wagons have
become very popular, this is one of the coolest there is!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you
will be given a 1 year membership.
