Only 3,500 miles since a body off frame custom build. This is a
genuine steel body 1936 GMC truck. Same owner since 2015, he is a
collector multiple vehicles.
EXTERIOR: It is a genuine 1936 steel body with a steel bed. The
fenders and running boards are fiberglass. No signs of rust or
damage. It is straight and fits nice. The red paint is polished out
to a very high gloss, smooth finish. It still has it's functioning
swing out windshield with a rechromed frame and new rubber gasket.
Upfront the bumper was removed for a clean look. It has a custom
aluminum grill and headlight brackets. It has chrome headlights and
turn signals. In back it has a custom roll pan with recessed
license plate, blue dot taillights and mini stainless bumperettes.
The fuel filler is relocated to the side of the bed. It is rolling
on very shiny set of chrome 15 inch Cragar wheels and 15" BFG
tires, wider in back.
INTERIOR: The inside was gutted and lined with sound deadener
insulation. I'm 6 foot and I would say it's pretty comfortable
compared to most trucks I sit in. There's a reupholstered and
recushioned bench seat. It has retractable seat belts. A nice
leather gripped steering wheel is on a tilt column. The metal is
painted charcoal gray. It has a matched set of Auto Meter gauges
including a tachometer. A custom lower panel was built to contain
the stereo, heat and a/c controls and vents. Down on the floor is
gray carpet with a Locar shifter and e-brake handle. It's an Alpine
with speakers in the kick panels. The inside of the cab and doors
are upholstered in a gray tweed.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 350 with tri-power carbs set up! It has double
hump heads, aluminum intake with 3 carbs with an electric choke,
premium fuel lines and fittings. It has an MSD ignition system and
has a set of headers. It's dressed up with aluminum valve covers
and matching spark plug wire holders. The firewall is smooth with a
polished insert. The heat and a/c lines are stainless braided,
Several of the air conditioner parts are aluminum. It has a chrome
alternator, bracket and pulleys. It also features power steering. A
big aluminum radiator with electric fan and over flow bottle keeps
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the bed the walls are perfectly straight
and painted gloss red. The floor is refinished wood and polished
UNDERSIDE: It was taken off the frame and a custom chassis was
built. Up front it has independent suspension, coil over shocks,
bushings and ball joints were we're replaced. It also has rack and
pinion steering. The original frame has been prepped and painted
black. In back is a Jaguar independent suspension with 4 coil over
shocks and chrome tubular lower control arms. It has custom brake
system with disc all around. In back they are "inboard", the discs
are located near the rear end hub. Brake lines, hoses,
proportioning valve and e-brake system was replaced. The dual
exhaust has stainless cherry bomb style mufflers with flared chrome
tips. It has a composite fuel tank relocated under the back of the
truck. Looking up at the motor it's real clean, it has a chrome
high torque starter. Sharp looking matched set of finned aluminum
oil pan, flywheel cover, transmission pan and rear end cover. The
trans is a Turbo 350 automatic.
This is a good looking truck that was taken down till there wasn't
a bolt left to remove. It was rebuilt from the ground up with some
great features that set it apart from the others. How many have a
Jaguar rearend, tri-power and air conditioning?
