This beautiful car will be offered at NO RESERVE at Mecum's Chicago auction on Friday October 22 as lot F138!
I don’t think there is a more iconic hot rod than a red 1932 Ford roadster. This example features an all-steel body with a removable soft top and a look that just can’t be beat. Additional features include a chromed suspension, rumble seat, wide white tires, pinstriping, and a whole lot of “cool”.
The engine is a nicely detailed Flathead V8 with dual carburetors. This is backed by a 3-speed Toploader transmission with a hydraulic clutch. The suspension retains a solid axle front end with chrome radius rods.
The tan interior is nicely done and features a 3-spoke steering wheel on a tilt column. There is a full complement of gauges in the middle of the dash. Note the dual temperature gauges (one for each water pump).
There is a lot to like here, and being a steel car (not fiberglass) is always a plus. It is one of those cars that just never goes out of style.
