We don't see too many 4x4s like this 1979 Jeep CJ5. It has been
restored to give you much more of that true classic feeling. But
more than just look sharp, you also have plenty of V8 power to make
sure this remains a true go-anywhere machine.
The Sundance Orange on this CJ holds close to the original Russet.
It gives you that same earth-tone style that looks good out in
nature, but now this has just a little extra bright shine that
makes a classic fun. We often see these Jeeps lifted with beefy
accessories added. And while those are fun (and we can probably
show you one of those, too,) this one is attractive for its vintage
nature. It has the clean lines of a well-done stock body. It
strives to show off the details in the essentials, like the brass
Jeep tag on the steel front bumper, and the full-size spare on the
rear that has a cover to match the newer soft top. Even the pieces
that look like upgrades have a vintage purpose. After all, the
Renegade package gives you fender flares and a roll bar.
Because the tan roof looks good against the orange paint, you get
similar tones when you take it down. The interior has a good look
with a clean color-matched tub, upgraded steering wheel, classic
Jeep gauges, and upgraded front bucket seats. You even have some
nice extras with an AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette, cup holders,
and a lockbox center console.
The engine bay is where this one deviates from stock the most. The
AMC 360 V8 was not offered in this series, but it fits under the
hood just as easily as its small displacement siblings. And not
only do you have a larger motor, but also an Edelbrock four-barrel
carburetor and an aluminum intake. It means you have a CJ with an
extra hit of power, and there's a nice tune out of the side-exit
dual exhaust. A two-speed 4x4 transfer case and newer all-terrain
tires on an attractive set of black wheels are nice for off-road
work. And three-speed manual transmission gives you proper control
over it all. Plus, features like power steering and power brakes
are good in all conditions.
Complete with owner's manual, this is the classic CJ style with the
right V8 power you want. So don't let this classic and capable 4x4
slip away. Call today!!!
