This 1966 Ford Mustang is a well-presented classic with a cool
color combo, GT-style flair, a rare bench seat interior, and V8
power. It all makes for an iconic coupe that has plenty of added
distinction.
Maroon is a great color to have. You get a similar boldness to red,
but there's also a deeper and more sophisticated tone. At the same
time, it's also close to the factory shade of Vintage Burgundy. So
you don't stray too far from stock while still getting an upgraded
paint that loves to radiate in sunlight. The bumpers and bezels
were also updated so that they contrast the paint in tone but match
it in shine. Plus, this has some GT-level flair with the classic
badging and dual exhaust mounted through the rear valance. And the
16-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels add to both the shine
and sporty style.
The maroon returns inside on the dash pad and carpeting, and now
it's joined by a tasteful tan for quite an attractive two-tone.
This is all part of a later restoration. So you may find areas to
improve or may want to service the air conditioner, but overall,
it's quite clean and attractive from day one. The bench with a
fold-down center armrest gives you the option for bucket-like
comfort. It makes this one quite distinct as one of the rarest
layouts in 1966. We don't have the trim tag to confirm this as a
factory feature, but it's certainly an attractive look that will
get Mustang fans talking. You'll also notice other desirable
upgrades, like the Rally Pac with working clock and tach. There are
nice classic details, like the wood-like trim and working courtesy
lights. These are joined by more modern touches, like the
retro-style AM/FM/cassette radio and upgraded speakers. It all
makes for an attractive cruiser package.
Under the hood is Ford's famous 289 cubic-inch V8. It has a sporty
look with ribbed valve covers and a Shelby-style Monte Carlo bar.
The total package is set up to be a cruiser with a hardy V8, power
steering, a three-speed automatic transmission, front disc brakes,
and the grip of modern tires.
Complete with maintenance records, this is an attractive Mustang
that has been given a premium look and distinctive features. That
makes for quite an attractive way to own an icon. Call now!
