The Ford Mustang Mach 1 is a performance-oriented option package of the Ford Mustang, originally introduced in August 1968 for the 1969 model year. It was available until 1978, returned briefly in 2003, 2004, and most recently 2021. Due to the Mach 1's success, the GT model was discontinued after 1969 following poor sales.
RB Collection is very pleased to offer this wonderful example of a rare and desirable 1970 Mustang Mach 1 - one documented owner and completely original.
This Mach 1 is a highly desirable, numbers-matching 351-2V V8 “Windsor” engine, and FMX Select Shift Automatic transmission, bought new from John Kline Motors in PA. This beauty is extremely sound and a great driving example with excellent history, including copy of the original Title, original Temporary Ownercard, original Owner’s Manual, original key and standard Marti Report.
Preserving all original features and with only one repaint from new, this Mustang Mach 1 presents in excellent condition with attractive Medium Blue Metallic Paint, matte black hood treatment with hood pins, and original panel alignment. Chrome and exterior trim are also in good condition.
The original upholstery and carpeting are in excellent condition, and new door panels have been fitted. The original steering wheel is in place, and it is equipped with hood scoop, competition suspension, color racing mirrors, console-mounted shift lever, rim blow-deluxe steering wheels, color carpeting, deep dish sports wheel cover, and power steering.
This rare and desirable Mustang is a great example that is ready to be enjoyed on the road. It offers solid cosmetics in combination with good original mechanical condition, making it a real joy to drive and a car that would be most welcome at any event.
