For Sale: 1970 Porsche 911T in Costa Mesa, California
Engine: 960396 - 2.0L Flat 6-cylinder originally from a 1967 911S,
est. 160hp Weber 40 IDS
This lightly customized Porsche 911T comes to us from a local
collector who owned the car for over forty years. During his
ownership the original 125hp 2.2L 6-cylinder engine was upgraded
with a 160hp 2.0L S engine from a '67 S Coupe. Other modifications
include the installation of 1980s era sport seats that are super
comfy and in very nice condition, later style carpets, 15" x 7"
Fuchs wheels all around, and a modern radio with rear shelf
speakers. The exterior paintwork is a dark shade of orange that
replaced the original Signal Orange paintwork. It is in presentable
condition and without and major flaws but is by no means fresh. A
set of tape stripes that were previously removed left behind some
ghosting, which we believe can be polished out. Although the
cosmetics are presentable, the strong point of this car is the
drivability. The engine is strong and crisp and hasn't needed any
attention from our service department. This car makes good power
and accelerates and handles very well. It's tons of fun and the
road thanks to a more aggressive wheel and tire package and extra
horsepower.
