This real Road Runner has been rotisserie restored. The bottom is
just as pretty as the top. It has it's original fender tag which
indicates the rare springtime only special Rallye green color.
EXTERIOR: The body is straight, I don't see any damage or rust. It
is repainted it's original Rallye green color. The finish is smooth
and glossy. It also has the correct reflective dual side stripes
and the blacked out hood patches. Up front the bumper is rechromed,
the grill is good original. New correct antenna, remote mirror and
door handles. In back the tail lights and bumper look new. The
stainless trim is straight and shiny. The vinyl top has been
replaced. New chrome Magnum 500 wheels with the radial red line
tires really look sharp. Jambs are painted real nice, weatherstrips
were replaced.
INTERIOR: Somewhat rare and very desirable bucket seats with a
console, typically Road Runners are bench seats. The cushions were
replaced, new upholstery. The door panels were replaced. The whole
dash area is excellent, nothing's cut or broken. It has a factory
tachometer and the factory AM radio. The interior lights work. New
carpet, it has a complete set of original seatbelts. The console is
good original condition. The headliner was replaced.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Correct 1969 383 motor runs real strong. It has
all stock manifolds, valve covers, carburetor, air cleaner. It does
have an upgraded aluminum radiator. Of course it has a working
"beep beep" Road Runner horn. The battery is bolted down properly,
squirters are hooked up, alternator looks new. It has optional
power steering. The engine bay is all clean metal painted Rallye
green. The original fender tag is attached, the vin number on the
core support matches the car.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Perfectly clean, new trunk floor. The quarter
panels look to be original, I don't see any splices. The inside of
the trunk is all painted Rallye green. The jack assembly has been
restored. The spare has a never been used tire. New trunk mat,
weatherstrip and rear seat divider. It has a trunk light.
UNDERSIDE: It was flipped on a rotisserie, the whole underbody of
the car was stripped, prepped and painted Rallye green. All clean,
smooth metal. The frame rails, rockers, floor pans and even behind
the rear tires is all clean. It has a new correct dual exhaust
system with the flared chrome tips. The brakes have been completely
rebuilt, new brake lines, hoses and e-brake assembly is hooked up.
The suspension is completely restored and detailed. New bushings,
ball joints, shocks, steering components. The fuel system has been
replaced including the tank, straps, sending unit and lines.
Looking up at the motor it is spotless. The casting codes and dates
are correct, dated 1969. The starter is rebuilt. It has correct 727
Torqueflite automatic transmission. U-joints were replaced. It has
an 8 3/4 rear end.
This is a good looking Road Runner with rare and desirable color.
Not too many rotisserie restored cars in this price range!
