Vehicle Description
This 1950 Ford F-1 is an awesome kind of custom pickup that takes
Ford's classic commanding appearance, and then smooths it out with
a ton of custom bodywork. Plus, the strong stroker motor, overdrive
transmission, custom interior, and a ton of other upgrades make
this a powerful truck with a unique and forceful attitude.
The Ford F-1 has an iconic style, but this one also instantly
announces it's something quite unique. It got a smoother style with
the one-piece front end, deleted bumpers, shaved door handles,
sport mirrors, and a custom rear roll pan with integrated dual
exhaust tips. And the cab has had inches expertly chopped out of it
for a terrific lower and sleeker style. And speaking of low and
mean, the rear wheels are awesomely wide with pro street Hoosier
rubber. This rear has an adjustable air ride rear suspension to
give this such a cool stance when you park this at cars & coffee.
The wood bed is even done with custom rear panels that lift for
better access to the battery, suspension, and gas tank. It's a
mean-looking street machine, and the orange paint sets that off
perfectly. It has a nice glow, but it also looks like the kind of
machine that never backs down from a blacktop battle.
The full custom experience continues inside. The original bench
seat was swapped in favor of dual buckets with an armrest. You've
also got power windows, a cup holder center console, an AM/FM/CD
stereo, and a lighted dial for your air ride indicator and
adjustments. The dash is dominated by your VDO and Equus gauges.
This is part of a solid driver's package that includes a Budnik
steering wheel, tilt column, large tach, and B&M floor
shifter.
The engine bay looks clean and mean with its mix of polished and
black components. The motor is built for power with aluminum heads,
a Holley Brawler four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock aluminum
intake, and shorty headers feeding the dual exhaust. There are the
right supporting features too, like MSD ignition, upgraded aluminum
pulleys, a serpentine belt system, and an aluminum radiator
w/electric fan. Underneath has suspension upgrades like an A-arm
independent front end and Competition Engineering rear ladder bars.
And there are great anytime driver upgrades, like power steering,
power brakes, front discs, and a 700R4 four-speed automatic
transmission w/overdrive.
This first-gen F-Series has a mean look and some serious hardware
to back it all up. It's a total package pickup that you can't
