Vehicle Description
It's irresistible when you discover a full custom build that takes
an icon and gives it an LS1 fuel-injected V8, sports suspension,
four-wheel disc brakes, and a custom A/C interior. That's why this
1967 Chevrolet Malibu Chevelle Restomod goes right to the top of
your wish list.
The Chevelle has a great classic look, and there is an investment
to make sure the vintage details were looking their best. That
means terrific shine on all the brightwork, including the
mirror-like chrome bumpers, Super Sport vented faux hood, ribbed
rockers, and the trim that outlines every inch of glass. And the
flying buttresses C pillar, pillarless hardtop profile, Coke bottle
curves give a timeless design that we love. But you weren't
attracted to this one just for its vintage style. It also shows
some extra attitude that makes a good first impression. For
example, the gray metallic is a bolder modern color that can fit
for a performance classic. Crystal clear headlights, LS1 badging,
and 18-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are all there to
also announce that this is an updated restomod.
The black interior is full of well-placed upgrades, and the
restoration was only about a year ago, and so it's all quite fresh.
You can tell they made a solid investment in the upholstery, door
panels, carpeting, headliner, dash pad, and more. You can really
tell that they paid attention to details, just by the seats. They
are finished in leather for a luxury feel, and the red stitching is
perfect for a sporty machine like this. This has some terrific
amenities, too, like cold-blowing air conditioning, a retro-style
AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth, and a fully upgraded speaker package
with a Rockford Fosgate amp and MTX audio subwoofer. And of course,
this is also a true driver's setup. You slip behind the classic
three-spoke sports steering wheel that's now mounted on a tilt
steering column, and the Dakota Digital gauge package glows red to
go with the interior accenting.
The smooth inner walls, well-hidden wires, and overall tidy engine
bay love to show off the upgraded heart. The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 is a
modern fuel-injected wonder that dependably delivers big power. And
the header-fed dual exhaust loves to announce the power update with
a terrific tune. You also have the right supporting components,
like a serpentine belt setup, and an aluminum radiator w/dual
electric fans. The 4L80E four-speed transmission is a modern unit
made to go with the LS power, and this feeds a 10-bolt rear with
Detroit Locker diff. As you look underneath the car, you'll spot
nice features like the tubular front A-arms, boxed rear arms,
adjustable coilovers at every wheel, and thick UMI sway bars front
and rear. Plus, power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes, and
the grip of ZR-rated tires make this a great anytime restomod.
This has the right look, the right power, and the right features
all come together to deliver the right upgraded Chevelle for you.
