The 3rd Gen Chevrolet Camaro... Z28(s) are about to skyrocket with
classic muscle car collectors -DrivingLine website, May 2021 The
DrivingLine people reasoned this way: Seen objectively... the
1982-1992 Chevrolet Camaro... Z28 coupes are poised for a comeback.
Featuring owner-friendly fuel injection, usable horsepower and
torque, and an ultra-deep aftermarket for mods thanks to the
presence of Chevy's famed small block V8, the third-generation of
the Camaro is perfect for anyone seeking a classic that can be
enjoyed on a daily basis with a minimum of hassle. A
DrivingLine-suggested bonus: It's also not necessary to get too
bogged down in factory horsepower numbers for the various 5.0L and
5.7L engines offered by this era of Camaro. Given their roots as
small block Chevrolet engines, it's relatively simple to bolt-on
the power you want for your ride regardless of how it originally
left the assembly line. Suspension, braking, and of course tire
upgrades are also out there to round out the Camaro and make it a
more effective package. Offered here is a 1991 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
in white over gray. The car has received the full measure of that
ultra-deep aftermarket equipment and additional bolt-on power
options to become a dramatically more effective package. The car's
odometer shows 108,986 miles, fewer than 3,650 miles per-year on
average since new. The car's extensive list of high-quality
performance and handling modifications appears in the list above.
The Z28's exterior factory white paint is in excellent condition
across the entire body, from lower-front chin spoiler, across the
cowl-induction hood (with hood locks), over the roof, to the
rear-deck-mounted spoiler, and signature rear fascia. Apparently
benefitting from GM's improved manufacturing practices put in place
at the time, body-panel gaps and alignment are proper and tight.
There is no damage to any surface including bumper cladding and
lower-body, ground-effects panels. (To best assess the quality of
the paint and chrome finish, be sure to view the close-up
photographs of the car in the accompanying gallery.) Cabin glass
and all lighting lenses are clear and uncracked. All
factory-applied badging-the front Camaro emblem, Z26 emblems on the
ground-effects panels, 5.7 Tuned Port Injection emblem on the
left-rear bumper, and Z28 emblem (with bowtie) on the right-rear
bumper-is properly in place. A red outline-bowtie graphic is
mounted in the front license-plate area. SLP® 5-spoke 17-inch
wheels (with SLP-embossed center caps) are mounted with Mickey
Thompson® Street Comp performance tires. Inside, the color theme is
gray, and it's executed in different hues on different surfaces.
The fabric upholstery on the front bucket seats is a handsome
tweed-pattern gray, with slightly darker gray inserts featuring
Camaro-logo embroidery. The outside bo
