1962 Chevrolet Impala SS 409 CI V8 Convertible. Born a 327 car in
the color white this car was bought in Oklahoma and brought to the
state of Iowa where it underwent a full nut and bolt restoration to
make it into a 409 Big block , Power steering , power brake and
power window car that is period correct. No expense was spared
making this into a show quality automobile. Builder's name and
phone number is available upon request. Exterior is finished in
Roman red paint that was laid to a mirror finish. Whote convertible
Top makes the paint leap off the car when the top is up. Sitting on
Color matched steel wheels wrapped in white wall tires with OEM
caps keep the look the day it rolled off the assembly line. Chrome
front and rear bumpers and all factory silver, polished trim is all
there and breaks up all the red nicely. Interior is all red from
the seats , carpet , dash , door panels , convertible top boot ,
steering wheel , center console , ect: One of the best interiors I
have ever seen and done to the highest level. All chrome , polished
, silver oem trim is there and makes the interior pop. Everything
works as it should and brings you back to 1962. Engine is a
period-correct 409hp , 409 CI big block V8 which includes dual 4BBL
Carbs , lightweight valve train , special camshaft , dual exhaust ,
solid valve lifters. 52 AMP delcotron generator all mated to a 4
spd wide ratio manual transmission with posi trac axle -3.36r.
Documentation includes a re-creation window sticker reflecting the
original car but updating it to reflect the new color and features
of the current build. Original owners manual and paper envelope
