For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS in Milford, Michigan

Vehicle Description

Numbers Matching Car - LS5 454 Factory A/C, HIGHLY Optioned!
Lafontaine Classic Cars is pleased to announce the release of this incredible 1970 Chevrolet El Camino in factory optioned Tuxedo Black with white stripes and black interior. The options on this rare find make it one of the most desirable examples only behind the LS6 engine optioned models. This one is powered by the mighty LS5 454 engine factory rated at 360hp (Chevrolet under rated the advertised horsepower to not over shadow their flagship LS5 Corvette that was rated at 390hp) with an incredible 500ft lbs of torque! Power is directed through a Turbo Hydramatic 400 (TH400) 3 speed automatic transmission that was the strongest offered by Chevrolet in 1970. Out back is the correct 12 bolt posi-traction rear end spinning both rear tires as you aggressively apply the gas pedal.
Inside the black interior you will find the correct stock bench seat and a host of factory options including: Air conditioning, tilt wheel, AM/FM radio, power windows, power locks, cruise control, power seat, tinted glass, and the sport gauge package with factory tachometer. Additional options include power steering and power front disc brakes to safely bring this Super Sport to a stop.
Getting the power to the pavement are the factory 14x7 Super Sport wheels with matching center caps and trim rings, wrapped in F70-14 Goodyear Poly-Glas, bias-ply, raised white letter tires. This wheel/tire combination combined with the now standard for 1970, F41 suspension package, provided the best handling options by including a 7/8"" diameter rear sway bar with boxed and welded lower rear control arms.
When sitting in the driver's seat, you have a great view of the iconic ""Cowl Induction"" door (or ""flapper"" as it's commonly referred to) at the rear of the hood. At any point when the gas pedal meets the floor, the Cowl Induction door opens wide, directing cooler, fresh air directly to the Quadrajet 4-barrel carburetor, maximizing performance.
The LS5 equipped '70 El Camino's are getting hard to find in this condition, especially with this list of options. Call our team at LaFontaine Classics today for more information on this rare find at 248-714-2110 or email us at [email protected] .
