$150,000 professional body off frame restoration was just completed
in 2016. The quality throughout Is impressive. The fit, finishes
and function. Believe it or not this is a two owner car. 1 owner
until 2013 when the 2nd bought it to restore. It even has it's
original invoice, that's rare.
EXTERIOR: Gorgeous car, the fit and finishes are amazing. It didn't
look this good when it was new, every panel is laser beam straight.
I didn't find any ripples, blisters, cracking or damage. The body
panels fit square and flush. It was born Harbor Blue, repainted
with high end German Glasurit paint. The metal flake paint is laid
out evenly. The clear coat is polished like glass. Every single
piece of exterior trim is either new or professionally restored.
Every piece of chrome is new. Every piece of stainless was
replaced. The grill,, emblems, lenses were replaced. It has dual
mirrors and door handle guards. All new smoked glass. Upgraded
Raingear electric wiper system with delay. 15 inch chrome Rev
wheels are on radial tires. Door jambs are just as slick as the
car. The latches look new. All the weather strips, window seals and
gaskets have been replaced. The power top is blue. It's been
completely restored- the top frame was disassembled, painted and
realigned. New weatherstrips.
INTERIOR: The interior was gutted and lined with Fat Mat sound
deadener. New American Autowire wiring harness. The front seat has
new springs. The seats and door panels have been custom upholstered
in 3 tone colors with genuine leather inserts. Premium short loop
carpet on the floor. New gray seat belts front and back. It has a
center armrest console with cupholders. All the metal trim is
repained. New Dakota Digital VHX gauges and matching clock. New
heater controls and trim. The retro stereo has hidden antenna and
kick panel speakers. Ididit column has a reproduction steering
wheel but smaller with a leather wrap.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Most reliable GM crate motor. It's an H.O. 350
making 330 hp. It has a bow tie aluminum intake, a dual feed Holley
carb with electric choke, coated headers and a complete MSD
ignition system. It is dressed up with chrome valve covers, air
cleaner and alternator bracket. New CPP power brake system with
dual reservoir master. CPP power steering system too. A polished 4
core aluminum radiator with a polished overflow bottle keeps it
cool. New horns, wiring, battery is properly secured. The entire
engine bay is painted gloss blue.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Solid metal painted gloss harbor blue. It has
sound deadener on the floor and a custom made custom carpet mat. It
is the same tight loop carpet as the interior with bound edges. It
has a spare tire that has never been used on a new rim painted
blue. The jack assembly looks new. The well liner, wiring harness
and weatherstrip were replaced.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame for a complete nut and bolt
restoration. The chassis was stripped, painted and rebuilt. All new
body bushings. Upfront the springs, shocks, bushings, balljoints
are new. Custom 2 inch drop spindles and a swaybar. All new
steering linkage. In back it has new springs, bushings and shocks.
The brake system was completely rebuilt, it has drilled and slotted
disc in front. New e-brake assembly, hoses and lines. New fuel
system including the tank, straps, sending unit and lines. Very
neatly bent and welded 2 1/2 inch stainless exhaust with MagnaFlow
mufflers. Bottom of the motor is spotless, it has a high torque
starter. The transmission is a rebuilt 200R-4 overdrive automatic
with braided stainless hoses going to an external oil cooler. New
drive shaft and U-joints. In back it has a new Ford 9 inch rear
with 3.25 gears. The floors are 100% clean metal painted satin
black.
It's one thing to spend a fortune building a car, it's another
thing to have it turn out right. Both are true on this car. It
looks and feels like a new car. Hundreds of pictures document the
restoration. It also has a pile of receipts and literature. There
shouldn't be any mysteries as to what was done, it is all
documented. This is an opportunity to get one that's "right".
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you
will be given a 1 year membership.
