bought more pickup trucks than cars for the first time. -
Bloomberg, March 2021 There are several factors driving the surge
in pickup-truck growth. Families increasingly appreciate the
hauling capacity of the trucks. Women are becoming a bigger part of
the pickup-driving universe. And the bread-and-butter
pickup-choosing demographic-young adult men-like the styling,
convenience, and comfort now part of these vehicles. On top of all
that, there is a smaller but growing group for whom a stout, 4x4,
off-road-capable truck captures the outdoor-adventure spirit of the
American dream. Among that last group, after the pickup comes into
the driveway, it isn't long until modifications are added to
personalize the vehicle. One of the coolest and most appealing, to
say nothing of most expensive changes, involves adding a lift kit
to give the driver a better view of the road ahead as well as a
more capable off-road performance profile. Offered here is a 2002
Ford F250 Super Duty Supercab pickup truck in dark blue over gray.
Its professionally installed lift kit makes for a standout
all-roader, and its supercharged V8 means there is plenty of go to
match the truck's undeniable show. The F250's odometer shows
126,246 Carfax-verified, accident-and-damage-free miles, or roughly
6,650 miles per-year on average since new. There's a committed
group of pickup enthusiasts who view the early-2000 Ford SuperDuty
as one of the timeless pickup designs. In particular, the sculpted
hood and grille design made for a standout look, a look Ford
abandoned way too early to imitate the GM designs. The exterior of
this dark-blue truck remains in excellent condition. The metallic
paint across the entire body is exceptional in its glossy,
well-maintained condition. A hood-mounted air scoop has been added.
(Be sure to inspect the close-up photos of the paint and bodywork
included in the gallery.) Neither paint damage nor body dings are
to be found on any exterior panel (the exception is the inside of
the cargo box which shows normal wear from regular use). No vinyl
graphics have been added. Chrome trim-including the grille, front
bumper, mirror caps, and rear bumper-is all in excellent condition.
Cabin glass and all lighting lenses (including the added
center-rear LED taillights) are clear and free of cracks.
Entry-assist running boards in chrome have been added. All
factory-mounted emblems and badging remain in place. Ultra® (164)
steel wheels are mounted with Mickey Thompson® Side-Bite Baja ATZ
LT tires. Inside, the two rows of two-tone gray seat upholstery and
trim are factory-original and in very well-maintained condition.
The cabin's rear half-doors make for easy entry behind the front
bucket seats. Seating surfaces are upholstered in the original,
long-wearing Ford fabric. There is no sign of excessive wear, no
rips or tears. Door trim is especially well-maintained. Cabin-floor
carpeting in darker gray is clean and largely unworn. The stock,
multifunction steering wheel frames a similarly stock dashboard.
Graphic markings on the switchgear and instrument faces are crisp
and unscratched. Four-wheel-drive controls are dash-mounted while
the shifter for the automatic transmission is on the steering
column. An aftermarket cd-audio head unit has been added above the
factory radio; HVAC controls are just below. A large, lockable
storage box with cuphol
