Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Super cool and high-quality Gentry Motor Works Cobra
Replica! Hard to find! Classic color combo! 400+ horsepower 351 V8!
5-speed!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this gorgeous Cobra Replica is
fiberglass, and it is in excellent condition! If you are familiar
with the Cobra replicas, the body is what you would expect to see
with a fiberglass Cobra. However, it is important to note that
Gentry Motor Works created their fiberglass bucks using a real 427
Cobra as a template. This replica is proportionally accurate!
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The paint on this car is in good shape,
though this car was originally built in 1995 and has seen a fair
amount of use since then. It shows well, but some normal signs of
use and age are to be expected. But, don't let the age of the paint
scare you, there is no waviness, no bubbling, or anything that
indicates poor craftsmanship when it was originally painted. And
when you consider that it's 25 year old paint, it shows extremely
well.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior is in great condition,
and really delivers the classic Cobra look. While it may show some
small signs of use, it has been very well-kept and is ready to be
enjoyed. The interiors of some Cobra replicas feel very much like a
kit-car, but we think this interior is well-executed and captures
the Cobra spirit quite well.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood is a Ford 351 V8, balanced and
bored .030" over with Dart steel heads. The 351 is more than enough
power to move this lightweight machine! This car is a blast to
drive, and much like a real Cobra it feels almost overpowered. If
you're looking for "the Cobra experience" without paying Cobra
pricest, this replica could be a great option. The engine runs
well, sounds great, and the sidepipes certainly deliver on that
classic Cobra sound. Manual 4-wheel disc brakes and rear coilover
shocks make this car easy enough to manage, but don't be fooled--it
can still get away from you! As you look at the underhood photos,
take a moment to note how clean and tucked everything is. There is
a place for everything, and everything is in its place.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The overall build quality is
superb!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If you don't like lightweight
cars with plenty of power, this is not for you.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? Nothing but a new home!
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone looking to get into a
fun, eye-catching, classic car icon without spending Cobra
money!
