Vehicle Description
This 1935 Ford Model 48 has a terrific sense of style. It's a
sophisticated-looking steel-bodied classic on the outside, a bold
A/C setup on the inside, and the full powertrain has been upgraded
to keep this classic a true cruiser.
1935 was a great year for Fords. This was a new, sleeker design
with the now-iconic wrap-around grille highlighting the list of new
features. Smoothly flowing fenders that encapsulated the wheels and
gently rounded bodywork make it beautiful. The finish quality is
quite good, with doors that close easily and good gaps all around.
But it's not the fundamentals that really caught your eye. We know
you love the bold red of the wire wheels - including the spare on
the rear. This goes with the full red pinstriping package to
deliver a stand-out detail against the glossy black paint. And
while this is an upgraded car, it never loses that vintage spirit.
You see it in the shine of the chrome bumpers, vinyl insert in the
roof, steel running boards, and the classic Ford V8 mascot leading
the way.
The color theme switches inside there you get plenty of bold and
fresh red, and the black returns for accenting in the right places
(after all, we all really want black carpeting to hide the dirt.)
The front bucket seats have a modern look and the right bolstering
to instantly signal this is the kind of car that's meant for
driving. Plus, you have plenty more comfort upgrades, like power
windows, tinted windows, an AM/FM/CD stereo, seatbelts, and
cold-blowing air conditioning. The steering wheel is a
classic-style banjo unit for a nice vintage feel. But the floor
shifter and full Classic Instruments gauge package let you know
this was made for an upgraded driving experience.
The hood still has the classic gullwing style, but beneath it is a
much more modern upgrade. The 4.3-liter V6 is larger than the V8
that Ford was offering in '35. And more than just added
displacement this has an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor,
Edelbrock high-rise intake, and headers feeding the dual exhaust.
This also has good supporting components, like an aluminum
radiator, HEI distributor, and new gas tank and fuel lines. And
there were also investments in keeping this a great driver. It
includes a Mustang II-style independent front end, a three-speed
automatic transmission, front discs, and a modern electric power
steering setup.
Complete with build receipts, this is vintage style that's made to
get you down the road in confidence and comfort. So you know this
