Vehicle Description
With its upgraded A/C interior, a well-done small block upgrade,
overdrive transmission, and thoughtful full two-tone style inside
and out - this 1956 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria has true classic
style and it's truly made to be driven.
When you want a cool custom cruiser, the Crown Victoria is the
right place to start. It's easy to distinguish these as the highest
level of the already top-of-the-line Ford Fairlanes, because only
these have the encompassing brightwork that visually separates the
front and rear passenger compartments. This one wants to make its
appealing style as clear as black and white...literally. so it was
upgraded to this timeless two-tone later in life. Today it has the
right look of sophistication with just enough aged-in style to make
people think it's original. And we really like sweeping chrome trim
dividing the two-tone combo extending from the headlight all the
way back to the tail. And this one has all the best classic pieces,
like fender skirts, whitewall tires on classic hubcaps, and the
dual exhaust integrated into the rear bumper. So this is rolling
nostalgia, and as you dig deeper, you'll discover the upgrades that
make this classic a great driver for today.
The color theme continues inside as the white and black are
expertly interwoven on the seats and door panels. And the black
carpeting, black dash, and white headliner complete a very uniform
total package. There's a careful style here that looks good and is
complete, right down to the custom trunk treatment. So it's the
kind of full-size Ford that you'll proudly share with family and
friends. There are even upgrades that will keep them all happy,
like a retro-style AM/FM radio and cold-blowing R134a air
conditioning. And features like the tilt steering column and full
upgraded gauges let you know this Crown Vic wants you to get
comfortable in the driver's seat.
It's nice to see a Ford get upgraded in the engine bay, while still
keeping the power in the blue oval family. Under the hood is a 302
cubic-inch V8 installed about eight years ago. And since these love
upgrades, this has an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock
intake, Finned valve covers, finned oil pan, and shorty headers
feeding the dual exhaust. It also has good supporting components,
like a newer water pump, under-hood oil pressure gauges, and an
aluminum radiator. It's a hot V8 that runs well and gives you a
nice extra kick of power. But this one loves being an overall
cruiser. That's why there are power brakes w/front discs, and the
transmission is a four-speed automatic with highway-friendly
overdrive.
This classic Crown Victoria brings together the right features, the
right power, and the right price. So you know it's right for you.
