For sale is our 1985 Ford F-150 Supercab Lariat 4X4 with an 8 foot bed. These trucks have gotten VERY hard to find, especially in 4X4 and in good shape. I've only seen one other like this with these specs, and in this condition, over the last year.
For being a 36 year old truck, it's in quite good shape, especially the interior. It has 52,098 original miles, the odometer hasn't rolled over. The original vinyl seating is perfect, except for a small 1" tear on the drivers side of the seat. Has an extended cab with the bench seat in the back that folds down to create a flat storage area.
The truck drives great overall. Gear changes can be a little jerky, but should be relatively easy to fix. Radio and cassette player work great. There is a very slight loose audio connection that sometimes causes one of the speakers to go in and out. Air conditioning blows super cold. All lights work. Bench seats in near perfect shape and are super comfy. Included is an 8' canopy, which can be seen in the photos. Also included is a blue vinyl center console that we ordered for the bench seat. Comes in very handy with the cup holders. Also includes 3 sets of keys.
The truck has the original paint, so it has the dings, nicks and scratches that you'd expect of a 36 year old paint job, but it has character, if anything, and a really nice patina. The tailgate looks like it's been replaced, but is still from the same generation of F-150's.
This was a southern Oregon truck for all of it's life until this Spring, so it hasn't had any salted roads to corrode it's under side. It was then a Montana truck for the summer, and was taken on a 1,000 mile road trip last month throughout Montana and ran beautifully. It is now located in Spokane, WA.
The truck has a clean title with only 3 owners, us being the 3rd. Truck currently has a bonded title, which we will remain responsible for even after the truck is sold to a new owner.
It recently had about $5000 worth of work done, including:
- A general overhaul
- Rebuilt carburetor
- New suspension
- All new brakes
- Flushed and replaced all fluids
- All new speakers
- New water pump
- New fuel pump
- New thermostat
- All new spark plugs
- Tail pipe replacement
