This is a 1965 Ford Falcon Resto-mod. The restoration to transform it into the cool street rod that it now is was done completely by the owner over the last 15 years. It has a 1993 5.0 Block, 302 cid,V8 Ford Motorsport crate engine, with Ford Racing GT40X aluminum heads. It comes with a Weiand Stealth intake manifold, Hooker Super Comp ceramic coated headers, high flow thermostat, Holley Street Avenger polished carburetor - 670 CFM, Petronix distributor, ignition box & coil, Taylor Thundervolt-50 plug wires, Ford Racing B303 roller cam, Ford Racing Hydraulic roller lifters, and Ford Racing roller rockers. Only approx. 7,000 miles on the engine since everything was rebuilt or new. The transmission is a Tremec T5 5-speed, manual rack and pinon steering. Under the hood is a polished aluminum radiator, polished aluminum ball bearing gas strut hood hinges, street or track aluminum export braces and Monte Carlo bar. It has a functional hood scoop. Flowmaster mufflers, 2.5 inch exhausts with crossover tube. On the front it comes with Bilstein coil over shocks with street or track tubular control arms, adjustable strut rods, a 1 inch anti-roll bar, and 11 inch disc brakes from a 1978 Granada. In the rear are heavy duty leaf springs, an anti-roll bar, Bilstein sport shocks, traction bars and drum brakes. The all new interior has been re-done with new black vinyl with fabric insert seats, new black carpeting, including in the trunk, Autometer gauges - tach, electric, speedometer, oil, volt and temperature. It has a Hearst shifter. In the carpeted trunk is a Taylor aluminum battery box housing an Optima battery with a battery cutoff switch and an overflow tank, matching spare tire and wheel, and a chrome fire extinguisher. And so you can listen to your favorite 1960's tunes while going for a cool cruise, it comes with an XM Satellite Radio and a sub-woofer 4 speaker stereo system. It has a new black convertible top as well. The car comes with lots of spare parts: 3 extra pair of rear leaf springs of various heights and stiffnesses, an extra grill that's nicer than the one on the car, and 4 brand new tires. It has been kept exclusively in a garage both during and after the restoration. While this is a beautiful car, it is not show quality as it does have some minor issues and imperfections. It has a short in the taillight switch, a broken/loose well liner trim, a couple of minor scratches on the right rear side, a few dings in the paint, and some paint imperfections near the windshield and back window. Other than that, it runs and drives beautifully and always gets attention when driving through town both for the way it looks and it's very distinctive street-rod sound.
