1964 Chevrolet Corvette
Car History
America's only true sports car, the Corvette, only got subtle
refinements in the body in 1964, plus the removal of the split
window on the coupes.
We have a high quality restoration on a beautiful 1964 Corvette
Roadster here at Adventure Classics that has a powerplant upgrade
to a later 350 cubic inch engine with air and backed by a 700R4
transmission, knockoff wheels, and a gorgeous white interior.
Engine & Drivetrain
This Corvette just exudes performance from the minute you open the
hood and see the 350 cubic inch engine with its chrome finned open
air cleaner and matching valve covers, performance coated tube
headers that flow into the throaty side-pipes, aluminum intake,
performance carb, HEI distributor, power steering, power disk
brakes, air conditioning, and backed by a 700R4 automatic
transmission.
It all sits in a perfectly restored clean, painted, and detailed
engine compartment too.
Interior
This Sting Ray offers a completely luxurious driving environment
with its individual twin white bucket seats that have a factory
bolster-like design for more seating comfort and better lateral
support.
The white theme extends to the door panels with blue carpet, and
black dual sun visors with controls for the outside-air-type heater
and defroster located on the central console along with the
electrical clock and radio controls and vent controls that are
located under the instrument panel on each side of the steering
column.
Matched speedometer and tachometer are the primary instruments in
the Sting Ray with all the gauges, head-light switch, cigarette
lighter, head-lamp retractor switch, hood release, and
four-position ignition switch complete that completes the
instrument panel along with the great black Corvette steering wheel
also.
Exterior
Our 1964 Sting Ray is beautiful as it is covered with its Marina
blue paint job flowing over the 427 scooped hood with the white
racing stripe, louvers behind the front wheels, giving it both an
aggressive and sophisticated look.
All the emblems, the rear bumpers and taillights, door handles, the
flip-up gas cap, and the white convertible top remain in as-new
condition as well as the aluminum knock-off wheels with the
knock-off type hubs and period correct redline tires which recreate
the original look.
Conclusion
The 1964 Corvette Roadster we have here at Adventure Classics is
luxurious transportation for two, backed by the potent 350 cubic
inch engine with air and an automatic, will give you a different
kind of driving experience than maybe you ever had.
This was one of the prettiest color combos ever in a Corvette and
these C2 Corvettes are always climbing in value in the collector
market.
