Vehicle Description
A Pro Street car is all about offering a seriously mean machine
that's got the power and upgrades that make it ready for the
dragstrip... they also made sure to leave the right amount of
comfort and features so you can hang a license plate off the back.
That's why we love this 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Pro Street. An
awesome 408ci small block is at the center of a fortified setup so
that you have a serious street-eating machine.
If you're going to have a mean Camaro, it only makes sense to do it
in black. The sleek darkness shows off the long hood and fastback
profile with added flair. Nice sheet metal, good gaps, and bright
chrome give it a quality look, but that's not what most people are
going to first see. That's because it looks like it's a
quarter-mile king with the tall cowl hood, battery shutoff on the
rear, and of course, the stance that comes from the classic skinny
front tires and extra meaty rear ones. Additions like the Z/28
badging, front air splitter, rear spoiler, and painted white racing
stripes show that this coupe still likes to respect its performance
car history.
Just like the exterior, the interior is dark, intimidating, and
also has the right amount of vintage quality. The seats, carpeting,
door panels, headliner, and dash have a deep/dark appearance. A pro
street car means one that's focused on the driver The 2nd gen
Camaro already does that well with a wraparound gauge panel, and
this one fully upgrades this readout package with AutoMeter
UltraLite gauges - including a fuel pressure dial inside the cowl.
Plus, everything from the upgraded sports steering wheel to the
B&M QuikSilver Shifter gets you ready for something extra
special under the hood.
The engine bay has slick black inner fenders that funnel your
attention to the fully built powerhouse in the middle. This is a
408 cubic-inch V8 that gives you big block displacement in a small
block weight. It was enhanced and fortified with Brodix Track 1
heads, a Lunati cam, a QuickFuel 750 CFM four-barrel carburetor,
and Hooker SuperComp long tube headers. And this is supported by
the best components, like a MagnaFuel 1000 fuel system, steel
braided lines w/AN fittings, an MSD distributor, and a large
aluminum radiator with an electric fan. This is a serious
powerhouse, so you have proper control over it all with a stout
TH400 three-speed transmission utilizing a 4000 stall and manual
valve body. That feeds an Auburn Pro Positraction rear end with
4.56 gears for powerful take-offs. Power steering, subframe
connectors, front disc brakes, and sway bars front & rear give you
a solid driver. And the full Mickey Thompson tire package (with
wide Street E/Ts in the rear) gives you superior grip.
Complete with build receipts, this is a mean-looking and
mean-sounding slick coupe. So don't miss out on this true pro
street Camaro. Call now!
