Vehicle Description
The 1964 Plymouth Barracuda is the first year for this stylish
fastback. And with shining paint, an A/C interior,
four-on-the-floor, and upgraded V8 power, you're going to soon see
that his classic has been given all the best investments to be an
awesome cruiser for modern times. This distinct Mopar even comes
with terrific documentation.
Plymouth was responsible for one of the most interesting cars on
the road for the mid-60s. It combined a great hardtop profile,
fastback style, and the largest wraparound rear window anyone had
seen. It also has some of the most interesting sheet metal lines,
and you can see it all so well here because this coupe is quite
crisp and clean. The bold red paint is a quality respray from later
in life, and so today you continue to get a nice gloss that
radiates in the sunshine. Plus, the brightwork is complete and on
everything from the mirror-like chrome bumpers to the trim
highlighting those distinct rear fenders. And while this is a
good-looking vintage Mopar, you'll also notice custom details like
the 17-inch Coys wheels and a deep chin spoiler. They hint at the
added power in this Plymouth (more on that in a moment.)
The black interior goes nicely against the red exterior. The
upholstery, carpeting, headliner, clear gauges, and dash have a
quality look. The whole presentation feels quite stock, right down
to the working doe lights and fold-down rear seats. Plus, you can
tell this one was meant to be enjoyed thanks to cold-blowing air
conditioning and an upgraded Pioneer AM/FM radio with USB input
(you just need to add the speakers.) And this has great
driver-oriented features, like front bucket seats, a Hurst shifter,
and a grippy sports steering wheel.
The engine bay has the look of quality with the dark and tidy inner
walls funneling all your attention to the full polished package in
the middle. This is Mopar's mighty 318 cubic-inch V8. It's a hardy
motor that loves upgrades, and so this one has a Holley four-barrel
carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and long tube headers feeding an
X-pipe dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. There's even an
aluminum radiator w/electric fan to help keep this package running
cool even when the A/C is running. It fires up with a sweet rumble.
The four-speed manual transmission has a new clutch to give you
confident control of the power and its soundtrack. Out on the road,
you'll also appreciate features like the grippy modern tires and
upgraded power rakes with Wilwood front discs.
The sale comes complete with terrific paperwork, like the factory
buildsheet, original window sticker, bill of sale, and owner's
manual. It's all there to make a distinctive classic Mopar an even
more irresistible total package. Call now!
