Vehicle Description
When you're looking for the ultimate VW drop-top, this is it. This
1969 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible has been fully restored to give
you slick paint, a unique color combo, a strong rebuilt motor, and
an awesome overall cruising attitude. So as you look over all the
details, you'll discover a thoughtfully assembled car that loves to
turn heads and can even take home some awards.
Velvet Green is a correct 1960 VW color, but you know you're not
looking at a half-century survivor. There was a big investment
about four years ago that gives this a deep shine from a modern
clearcoat shine and a professional hand applying it. It looks
terrific in the sunshine and really highlights the quality of the
body. This paint sets the tone for the whole car. It's so sleek
that they made the front end smoother. The fuel door was shaved and
there's a cleaner look of LED taillights. Plus, the bright chrome
bumpers are borrowed from the later Mexican Beetles, and that
allows you to move the turning lights from the top of the fenders.
And there's so much luster in the paint, that the bumpers, trim,
and exhaust tips were also given a mirror-like shine to keep up.
All that brightwork means the polished 15-inch Riviera wheels were
a natural upgrade. The result is the classic VW look you love, but
with the right hints of individuality and award-worthy quality.
The high-quality gray roof is a harmonizing tone against the
exterior green, and it really drives home the look of a classic of
distinction. So we are glad to see the same color upholstery when
we take the top down. The high-back bucket seats, new door cards,
clean carpets, and finished trunk are all about a good-looking
Beetle. We love the details everywhere from the matching
convertible boot to the classic dual-spoke steering wheel with
Wolfsburg crest in the middle. And because this is the kind of car
that you're going to want to cruise, they upgraded the driving
music with a retro-style AM/FM radio featuring Bluetooth.
The engine bay received plenty of attention and investment, too. It
starts with a later dual-relief engine case rebuilt to 1641cc. It
included new pistons, heads, Engle W100 cam, lifters, steel
pushrods, pushrod tubes, piston rods, seals, bearings, and a
balanced rotating assembly. So it's a hardy motor that looks
exceptionally fresh under the rear hatch. The investment continues
with a fully rebuilt four-speed transaxle, a new clutch assembly,
and a new throw-out bearing. The full suspension package was
refreshed, right down to the axles. And everything from modern
tires to upgraded front disc brakes make sure that this nimble
Beetle has extra confidence going down the road.
Complete with owner's manual, this is the VW convertible that has
been given big investments to make sure you're going to love
driving this classic and showing it off everywhere. So if you want
