Vehicle Description
1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible Custom Show Car "Ohhh
Barracuda"
1968 was the second year Plymouth offered the redesigned Barracuda,
and out of 45,412 Barracudas built for the 1968 model year, just
2,840 examples were convertibles. Everywhere you look on this car
the quality of work, time, effort and money invested, SHOWS! From
an outstanding body with an award winning paint, its modern and
comfortable custom design interior and its Blue Print built engine,
this Barracuda really is a predatory fish out of water!
As you walk beside this '68 you'll see a laser straight body with
perfect fitment and body lines. The code M "Turbine Bronze Poly" 2
stage paint is complimented with custom Champagne stripping with
tastefully scripted "Barracuda" on each quarter. A Champagne Haartz
power convertible top and boot were added to match with beautiful
chrome & trim accentuating the entire design of this exterior. The
interior was redesigned and completely custom built with matching
champagne interior. Comfort leather with hand stitched barracuda
seats were added to the car and paired with custom leather wrapped
center console, steering wheel, dash, door panels and a finished
trunk to match. The Mad scientist behind this Mopar, wanted a one
of kind power-train design and that is exactly what they did. A
408c.i. Stroker Blueprint crate engine was installed and was tested
and tuned to Dyno up a whopping 385h.p. A "Monster Transmission &
Performance" 700R4 automatic with overdrive transmission was
dropped in and paired with a 9" Ford posi-traction rear putting
plenty of "GO" in this Barracuda's "SHOW"
