1953 GMC SUBURBAN BARN DOOR C-879 This 1953 GMC Suburban can be
best described as "Brute Force" for it's ability to take on most
driving conditions, either on or off road. This 3rd generation
Suburban has benefited from mechanical, suspension, occupant safety
and comfort, and suspension improvements. Now powered by a very
stout GM V-8 topped with a 4bbl carburetor connected to an
automatic transmission. The engine shows moderate chrome Summit
Racing Equipment air filter cover, chrome Summit Racing Equipment
valve covers and chrome firewall cover. All new wiring, spark plug
wires, hoses and belts complete the engine bay. Extensive
suspension upgrades feature King Off-Road performance components as
well as a moderate lift kit. Finished in a subtle tan exterior with
brown accent, the exterior also features bright chrome bumpers,
front mount driving/fog lights, chrome grill and running boards
that feature side exhaust outlets and aluminum diamond plate step
pads. The interior has extensive upgrades consisting of AC, secure
bucket seats, 2 front and 2 rear with 3-point seat belts, full
array of gauges to monitor all critical functions, Panasonic
CQ-DP133U stereo with surround speakers, floor mounted shifter,
full floor mats, refurbished door panels and headliner. Interior
doors feature chrome panel and metallic brown paint accents. Tires
are BF Goodrich Mud/Terrain Radial T/A 32x11.50R15 mounted on
polished Eagle Alloys wheels with chrome center caps. Disc brakes
up front and drum brakes on the rear provide reliable stopping. All
glass is in good-fair condition. The rear side glass slides open
for comfort. The rear barn-door gives easy access to the rear cargo
