Ford introduced the 1965 Mustang at the World's Fair on April 17,
1964, to instant acclaim. Named for a WW II fighter plane, the
Mustang was the first of a type of vehicle that came to be known as
a "pony car." Referred to early Mustangs as "19641/2" models, while
post-August cars are "late" 1965. The easy way to tell if its a
late model is to look at the dash if it has an ALT light its a late
model. Yes, this is a late model '65.The Mustang was developed as a
highly styled line of sporty coupes with "long hood, short deck"
making the '65 one of the most revered Mustangs to date.
The car has always been garaged since it was restored and looks as
good as it did when it rolled off of the assembly line.
The legendary 289-cid V-8 with up to 271 horsepower. This is Ford's
V8-90-degree overhead valve engine. The performance 289 is
dependable, and economical to maintain while giving the horsepower
Mustang is known for. The new dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers
has that perfect classic muscle car rumble. Add the 4-Speed manual
transmission and let the excitement begin!
The redone black (L-958) interior is made from heavy duty 32 ounce
vinyl and solid-welt cord. Precision patterns and textures give the
authentic factory-style stitching, piping, and heat-stamped
patterns as it did when it was new on the dealer's floor.
The beautifully detailed instrument bezels, new clear plastic
lenses, and dash trim take this Mustang to the next level of
excellence. The classic instrument gauge set are all in perfect
working order. The dash does show the original radio. What is not
seen is the updated Kenwood with CD/Blue Tooth/ Phone power jack
hidden in the glove box. The new sound system is operated by
remote-control. The powerful 6x9's in the rear deck keep the tunes
rocking.
The stunning deep burgundy paint with silver stripes makes this
Mustang standout in a crowd. The detailed trunk has a new heavy
molded vinyl mat in the original pattern. There is a spare tire
also with cover and tire jack.
New Ridler 18" and 17" wheels with performance Laufenn tires
225/50ZR18 & 255/45ZR17's gives the aggressive stance. If your more
of a classic look a set of the original steel wheels and hub caps
mounted on a 1" white wall tires can be exchanged.
